Bij elk product op Houseify staat vermeld of het een gevuld kussen of een losse hoes betreft. Een gevuld kussen is een hoes met een vast binnenkussen erin. Een losse hoes is alleen de buitenhoes, meestal met een rits, waar je zelf een binnenkussen in doet; kies dan een binnenkussen in dezelfde maat als de hoes, dus bijvoorbeeld 50x50 cm bij een kussenhoes van 50x50 cm. Controleer bij de productinformatie welke variant je bestelt.
Vaak niet: veel kelim kussens worden gemaakt van stukken van een ouder, versleten kelim kleed dat niet meer geschikt is als vloerkleed. Daardoor is elk kelim kussen uniek. Een vintage kelim kussen is gemaakt van een stuk van een ouder kleed, meestal enkele decennia oud; de kleuren zijn door gebruik en licht zachter geworden.

Cactus silk, also known as sabra, does not – despite its name – come from a cactus, but from the fibres of the agave plant. The fibre is spun by hand and has a natural, subtle sheen.
