Each rug is hand-knotted or woven on a loom that varies from one maker to another. The dimensions given are an average; the exact measurements are stated for each product.

Small measures up to approximately 150 x 150 cm and serves as an accent piece. Medium-sized, ranging from 160x230 to 250x150 cm, is suitable for most living rooms and bedrooms. Large, from 200x300 cm upwards, is intended for a spacious seating area or corner sofa.

Particularly under a round dining table, or as an accent in a corner where a rectangular rug looks less natural.

Leave 30 to 50 cm of floor space free along the walls, so that the rug does not touch the skirting boards or doors.

Not necessarily. A rug that’s too big for a small room leaves little of the floor visible and can actually make the room feel more cramped. Choose the size based on the furniture arrangement, not the whole room.

Mark out both sizes on the floor with tape and see which one fits best with the furniture. If in doubt, choose the larger size if the front legs of all the seating furniture fit within it.

Vacuum the rug regularly, following the direction of the pile, on a low setting. Blot stains immediately with a damp cloth and a drop of pH-neutral wool detergent.
