1. Fiber composition - what is on the label
In accordance with the Textile Labelling Regulation (EU) 1007/2011 lists every Houseify rug the fiber composition on the label and in the product description – for example, “100% wool” or an exact blend. The designation follows the official EU fiber designations.
Animal parts: If our rugs contain non-textile components of animal origin (such as leather details or wool fringes made of animal material other than the textile), this is explicitly stated: “Contains non-textile parts of animal origin.”
2. Our materials

3. Chemical safety (REACH)
Our rugs meet REACH Annex XVII, including the ban on azo dyes (Entry 72) which can release carcinogenic aromatic amines upon contact. We ask our intermediary for declarations of conformity for the dyes used. This way, you can be sure that the rug on the sofa or floor is safe for your family.
4. Floor covering standard EN 14041
Our rugs are Loose decorative rugs. The CE marking obligation under EN 14041 applies to permanently installed floor coverings (Construction Products Regulation) – not to loose decorative rugs sold as home textiles/furniture. CE marking does not apply to our products.
5. Dimensions
Our sizes are for handmade products – small deviations (up to approx. 3-5 cm) are normal and do not constitute a product defect. Sizes on the product page are always indicative. Want to be sure? Send us a message before placing your order.

6. Color and pattern
Because each rug is handmade and dyed with natural wool, color, shade, and pattern may vary slightly from piece to piece—even within the same collection. Screen calibrations can affect color reproduction. Minor variations are a mark of quality, not a defect.
7. Maintenance and care
Stofzuig regelmatig zachtjes op lage stand. Dep vlekken direct met een vochtige doek (niet wrijven). Laat het kleed niet langdurig in direct zonlicht liggen. Professioneel reinigen bij ernstige vlekken. Niet in de wasmachine..
