(since the rug pieces used to make them are also made of wool) and dyed with vegetable dyes, according to centuries-old recipes. Wool and vegetable dyes ensure the fabrics are waterproof and non-flammable, so if kept in good condition with proper cleaning, the rug will retain its beauty for a long time (which justifies the cost)."
