Load moreWhat is a pouffe?
Materials and finish
| Material | Feature | Finish |
|---|---|---|
| Goatskin | Sturdy, smooth, hard-wearing | Hand-stitching in a contrasting colour |
| Lambskin | Softer and more supple than goatskin | Finer stitching |
| Sheep’s wool | Soft, warm, thick texture | Knotted or woven, like a Berber rug |

What determines the price?
Prices for a single pouf range from €102.95 to €399.95. The cheapest leather poufs of 50x50 cm are the entry level. Wool Berber poufs of 60x60 cm cost around €160.95; Beni Ouarain, vintage and traditional wool poufs range from about €220 to €400. The Azadeh kilim pouf is sold as a set of four. Material, size and whether a pouf is vintage together determine the difference.
Why order from Houseify?
The poufs are handmade by Moroccan families in the Atlas Mountains. Each product lists the exact dimensions and the material composition. It also states how large the pouf is unfilled and how large it is once filled.

Fast delivery and helpful advice on returning items that were delivered in excess.
I chose a rug that I really liked. Everything was clearly described and the delivery went smoothly and quickly. I’m very happy with my purchase. Thank you!!!
I found a beautiful and unique rug. Friendly customer service. It took a while to arrive, as it had to be shipped from its country of origin. It was well worth the wait. Highly recommended!!
Good, prompt communication and they really think things through with you. Brilliant🤍 and a little gift in the post for writing a review. Which shop still does that these days?!
Good to know
Shipping it unfilled makes the pouffe much lighter and more compact, which reduces the delivery costs. What’s more, you can decide how firm you want it to be by choosing the amount and type of filling.
Common fillings include old clothes, sheets or scraps of fabric, possibly supplemented with polystyrene beads for extra firmness. Avoid using filling that is too loose, as this will make the pouffe unstable.
Dust the pouffe regularly with a dry cloth. To keep the leather supple, use a leather care product from time to time, and dab any stains straight away, without rubbing.
Vacuum the pouffe from time to time using a soft brush attachment, or give it a good shake. Blot any stains immediately with a damp cloth and a drop of pH-neutral wool detergent.
Yes, particularly a leather pouffe with a flat top. To use it stably as a table, place a tray on top of the pouffe.
A leather pouffe is generally sturdier and better suited for sitting on or using as a table. A woollen pouffe is softer and is mainly used as a footrest.
Leather can dry out and change colour if left in direct sunlight for long periods. Do not leave the pouffe in direct sunlight all the time, and use a leather care product from time to time.
No. Leather and wool are natural materials and are not resistant to rain or damp outdoor conditions. Please use the pouffe indoors or on a covered terrace.
Diameters ranging from 35 cm to 50 cm and heights of 30 cm to 40 cm are the most common. The exact dimensions are stated for each product, both when empty and when filled.
A vintage Moroccan pouffe is second-hand, usually several decades old. Through use, the leather or wool has taken on a softer, well-worn look, often featuring vibrant colours that have been hand-dyed.
