Reviews
Fast delivery and helpful advice on returning items that were delivered in excess.
I chose a rug that I really liked. Everything was clearly described and the delivery went smoothly and quickly. I’m very happy with my purchase. Thank you!!!
I found a beautiful and unique rug. Friendly customer service. It took a while to arrive, as it had to be shipped from its country of origin. It was well worth the wait. Highly recommended!!
Good, prompt communication and they really think things through with you. Brilliant🤍 and a little gift in the post for writing a review. Which shop still does that these days?!
They’re very helpful when you ask questions by email and really think things through with you!
Delivered quickly, good fabric.
Fast delivery and the quality you’d expect!
I bought a beautiful Berber rug from Houseify. The delivery took a bit of doing, but everything worked out in the end and I was compensated with a small gift. I dealt with the logistics planner, who was very customer-friendly. I’d definitely recommend them 👍. I’m very satisfied, anyway.
I ordered the rug on the website; it’s made of good-quality material.
A lovely rug and delivered quickly👌👍
I don’t usually write reviews, but my bronze puma is simply fantastic. When I got in touch with Houseify via the chatbot, they explained everything to me about the material and quality of the product. For an online shop that’s only been around for a year, you’re doing a fantastic job.
Maintenance
With the right care, your Tiziri Berber mixed-colour rug will last for years. Keep it simple:
- Vacuuming once a week with a smooth nozzle and no rotating brush.
- Blot stains immediately using a clean, slightly damp cloth, and never rub.
- A few times a year to ensure even wear.
- Avoid: harsh cleaning products and prolonged exposure to strong sunlight.
Material recommendations
- Wool: naturally stain-resistant and hard-wearing; regular vacuuming is usually sufficient, and stains can be easily dabbed away.
This is how you can keep the colours and fibres of your Tiziri Berber rug looking their best for years to come.

Good to know
A white Berber rug has an ivory or cream-coloured base. A beige Berber rug tends towards sand, camel or taupe. White makes a room feel lighter, whilst beige makes it feel warmer. Both are made from undyed wool, unless the wool has been lightly tinted with vegetable dyes. The difference also lies in the sheep’s fleece and the age of the rug.
Vacuum the rug regularly using a soft brush attachment on a low setting. Beige hides light dust and sand better than white, and wool naturally contains lanolin, which means dirt is less likely to be absorbed into the fibres. Blot food or drink stains away immediately with a damp cloth and a drop of pH-neutral wool detergent. Wool only absorbs liquid after a short while. A neutral pH leaves the protein structure of the wool intact. Do not use bleach, do not leave the rug to dry in the sun whilst wet, and leave any major cleaning to a professional wool cleaner.
Undyed wool may take on a slightly warmer tone over the years when exposed to direct sunlight. To keep the colour even, rotate the rug half a turn regularly.
Yes. Beige warms up a cool grey floor. Choose a beige rug with grey or black lines, so that the colours of the floor and the rug complement each other.
Usually not: the colour is the natural colour of the wool. In some rugs, the wool is lightly dyed using plant-based dyes. The material composition is listed on each product page.
In that case, choose a low-pile rug rather than a high-pile one, so that chairs glide smoothly across it.
Terracotta, olive green, black, natural wood and linen complement beige. A dark sofa or black accessories provide contrast. Light wood tones keep the overall look calm.
Wool is a natural insulator, which means it traps some of the heat. The rug can be placed on underfloor heating, but bear in mind that the heat output may be lower than on an uncovered floor.
To prevent the rug from sliding and the edges from curling up, use a non-slip mat made of felt or rubber that is slightly smaller than the rug. A non-slip mat also protects the floor from wear and tear.
A vintage Berber rug is a rug that has been used previously, usually for twenty years or more. Many vintage rugs have turned beige through use, washing and exposure to sunlight, whilst they were once ivory white. Signs of wear or repairs are part of their character.
