Description

- Vacuuming once a week with a smooth nozzle and no rotating brush.
- Blot stains immediately using a clean, slightly damp cloth, and never rub.
- A few times a year to ensure even wear.
- Avoid: harsh cleaning products and prolonged exposure to strong sunlight.
Material recommendations
- Wool: naturally stain-resistant and hard-wearing; regular vacuuming is usually sufficient, and stains can be easily dabbed away.

Frequently Asked Questions
Good to know
Both are available. Brown sheep’s wool is a natural wool colour, alongside ivory and grey. In addition, wool is dyed brown using walnut husks or synthetic dyes.
White, terracotta, olive green, mustard yellow and black. Brown goes naturally with wood and leather.
Over the years, dyed wool will fade slightly when exposed to direct sunlight for long periods. Turn the rug half a turn regularly.
Brown hides dust and light stains better than a light-coloured rug. Nevertheless, blot stains immediately with a damp cloth and a drop of pH-neutral wool detergent.
Yes. A medium or dark brown rug creates contrast against a light-coloured floor; a sandy-brown shade, on the other hand, blends in more softly.
Brown is a deeper, warmer shade, tending towards camel or chocolate. Beige remains lighter, tending towards sand or cream. Both are often natural wool colours or variations thereof.
Vacuum the rug regularly, following the direction of the pile, on a low setting. Blot stains immediately with a damp cloth and a drop of pH-neutral wool detergent.
Yes. Brown is practical because it hides stains and dust relatively well, combined with a dense, sturdy pile.
Wool is a natural insulator, which means it retains some of the heat. The rug can be placed on underfloor heating, but please bear in mind that the heat output may be reduced.
Rustic, classic and vintage interiors featuring plenty of wood and leather. A brown rug also adds warmth to a modern interior, providing a contrast to cooler materials such as concrete and steel.
Due to wear and tear, washing and exposure to light, the colour has often become either deeper or softer than on a new item. Signs of wear or repairs are part of its character.
Use a non-slip mat made of felt or rubber that is slightly smaller than the rug, so that the edges do not curl up and the rug does not slide on smooth floors.
