Description
Siavash Perzisch vloerkleed rood is volledig met de hand geknoopt door wevers uit Chahar Mahal en Bakhtiari in Iran. Het kleed meet 190 × 153 cm en heeft een pool van 100% wol op een katoenen basis, met franjes aan de uiteinden.
Het ontwerp is verdeeld in panelen en omlijst door een rand, in Perzische en traditionele stijl. De basiskleur is rood, met accenten in bordeauxrood, crème, navy blauw, roze en turquoise. Het kleed is slechts ca. 6,35 mm dik en ligt daardoor vlak op de vloer. De patina laat zien dat het semi-antiek is: het is eerder gebruikt.
Zuivere scheerwol is van nature vuilafstotend en veerkrachtig, en wordt gewassen en gekaard in plaats van chemisch verzacht, wat de vezel elastisch houdt en het tapijt jarenlang laat meegaan.
