Follow these four steps<\/h2>    <p>Accidents happen \u2013 and they\u2019re usually not as bad as they seem. The key is to act quickly and gently. Follow this step-by-step guide as soon as something is spilled.<\/p>  <\/div>\n    <div class=\"og-steps og-stagger\">\n        <div class=\"og-steps__item\">\n      <span class=\"og-steps__num\">1<\/span>\n      <h3>Trade now<\/h3>\n      <p>The quicker you act, the better the chance that no stain will remain. First, carefully lift any solid bits off with a spoon, working from the outer edge towards the centre.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n        <div class=\"og-steps__item\">\n      <span class=\"og-steps__num\">2<\/span>\n      <h3>Never dab or rub<\/h3>\n      <p>Blot up the moisture with a clean, white cloth or kitchen paper. If so, mix one drop of washing-up liquid with half a litre of lukewarm water. Never use hot water \u2013 this can actually set some stains. This will subside naturally as you use the rug and vacuum it gently.
