We expect the following from this intermediary and all other suppliers in our chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Compliance with laws and regulations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Suppliers comply with applicable local legislation as well as all relevant EU\/NL standards for products entering the EU market, including GPSR, REACH, textile labelling, and product safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Product safety and traceability (GPSR)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Products are safe and comply with the <strong>General Product Safety Regulation<\/strong> (GPSR, EU 2023\/988, applicable from 13-12-2024).<\/li><li><strong>Traceability<\/strong> (Art. 30 GPSR): suppliers can demonstrate who supplied them and to whom they supplied (\u201cone step back, one step forward\u201d).<\/li><li>The responsible market operator established in the EU (our intermediaries) ensures the required labelling and identification.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Chemical safety (REACH)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Products do not contain any prohibited or restricted substances above the permitted limits in accordance with <strong>REACH Annex XVII<\/strong>, in particular:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Entry 72 + Appendix 12:<\/strong> verbod op azokleurstoffen die kankerverwekkende aromatische amines kunnen vrijstellen boven de detectielimiet - direct relevant voor gekleurd textiel inclusief kleden uit Marokko.<\/li><li><strong>POP Regulation (EU 2019\/1021):<\/strong> ban on persistent organic pollutants (including PFOS, polybrominated biphenyl ethers) in textile products.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon request, suppliers provide a declaration of conformity and\/or test report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Textile labelling (EU 1007\/2011 + Commodities Act Decree)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each rug has a label (sewn or otherwise) stating:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Fiber composition<\/strong> in a recognized designation (e.g. \u201c100% wool\u201d) pursuant to EU Regulation 1007\/2011.<\/li><li><strong>Animal origin:<\/strong> If the rug contains non-textile components of animal origin, the label states: <em>\u201cContains non-textile parts of animal origin.\u201d<\/em><\/li><li>The labeling is in the language of the destination country (NL: <strong>Dutch<\/strong>), or meets the prescribed language requirement.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Human rights and working conditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Geen kinderarbeid, geen dwangarbeid; veilige werkomstandigheden en eerlijke beloning - conform onze <a href=\"\/beleid\/mensenrechten-arbeid\">Human rights &amp; working conditions<\/a> and the relevant ILO Core Conventions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Integrity and anti-bribery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Geen omkoping, smeergeld of kickbacks in welke vorm dan ook. Verdachte situaties worden gemeld - zie <a href=\"\/beleid\/gedragscode\">Code of Conduct &amp; Anti-Bribery<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Supervision and cooperation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We expect suppliers to provide documentation upon request (declarations of conformity, test reports, origin data).
