Fair prices and discounts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Onze prijzen zijn <a href=\"https:\/\/houseify.com\/cart\/\">including VAT<\/a>. Bij een kortingsactie tonen wij als &#8220;van&#8221;-prijs altijd de <strong>lowest price at which the product was offered in the 30 days prior to the promotion<\/strong> (Omnibus Directive, in force in the Netherlands since May 2022 via the Prices Act). We do not use fictitious or inflated reference prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why this is important:<\/strong> The ACM actively enforces this. In June 2024, it submitted a total <strong>\u20ac621,000 in fines<\/strong> pointed out five online stores for fake discounts (including \u20ac130,000 for Leen Bakker and \u20ac112,500 for JYSK). Fair pricing is therefore not only a principle, but also a strict obligation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Real, verified reviews<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wij plaatsen geen nepreviews en laten ze ook niet plaatsen. Onze beoordelingen zijn afkomstig van geverifieerde kopers via <a href=\"https:\/\/houseify.com\/reviews\/\">Google Reviews<\/a> en Trustpilot. Wij vermelden hoe en of reviews worden geverifieerd (Omnibus-verplichting).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Transparent advertisements and sponsored content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We clearly label paid advertising positions in search results or on platforms as \u201csponsored\u201d or \u201cadvertisement\u201d.<\/li><li>We distinguish visibility resulting from payment from organic results.<\/li><li>We do not mislead consumers regarding the commercial nature of communications (Art. 6:193g BW black list).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Social media &amp; influencer collaborations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When collaborating with creators or influencers, we follow the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/houseify.com\/beleid\/gedragscode\/\">Nederlandse Reclame Code<\/a> (NRC)<\/strong> and the <strong>Advertising Code Social Media &amp; Influencer Marketing (RSM)<\/strong>. This means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The creator always clearly states whether it is a paid collaboration, discount, or free product.<\/li><li>The notice is such that the follower\/viewer <strong>direct and unmistakable<\/strong> can see that it is an advertisement, before the rest of the content.<\/li><li>Influencers with \u2265 100,000 followers who upload \u2265 24 videos per year are required to be registered with the Dutch Media Authority (Media Act).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Violations of the NRC\/RSM can be reported to the <strong>Advertising Code Foundation<\/strong> (reclame.nl). The ACM can take enforcement action when advertising also constitutes an unfair trade practice (Art. 6:193a et seq. of the Dutch Civil Code).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. No misleading or aggressive practices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We refrain from all misleading or aggressive commercial practices as referred to in Articles 6:193a-6:193j of the Dutch Civil Code, including the blacklists of Articles 6:193g (misleading) and 6:193i (aggressive).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Substantiated sustainability and origin claims<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Claims als &#8220;handgemaakt&#8221; en &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/houseify.com\/beleid\/productinformatie\/\">natural materials<\/a>&#8221; worden altijd onderbouwd - zie <a href=\"\/beleid\/herkomst\">Origin &amp; transparency<\/a> and <a href=\"\/beleid\/duurzaamheidsbeleid\">Sustainability policy<\/a>. As of approximately September 2026, the rules for green claims have been further tightened (EmpCo Directive EU 2024\/825).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Children<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our products and marketing activities are aimed at adult consumers. We do not target young children with advertising and adhere to the Advertising Code for Children and Youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last updated: June 1, 2026.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
